SCONES
Ingredients
  1. 450g SR Flour
  2. Pinch of Baking Powder
  3. 150g Margarine (or 75g Margarine & 75g Butter)
  4. 2 Eggs
  5. Milk as required (Soya Milk may be used)
  6. Sweet
  7. 100g Sugar. (Caster for smooth texture, Demerera for crunchiness / richness)
  8. Dried fruit as desired (Raisins, Cherries, Cranberries or Apricots)
  9. Chopped or whole nuts.
  10. Savory
  11. Add cheese, herbs, mustard, seeds, spices or vegetable stock powder as required.
Instructions
  1. Put all of the dry ingredients in the bowl, add the eggs (or egg replacer) and add the milk bit at a time (as you may not need all of it!)
Notes
  1. The baking time will vary depending on the thickness of the dough and size of your cutter.
  2. Set oven to 180oC
